Registration

Well this will make you chuckle. I turned up for my Registration at the Peterborough VRO after sending an A4 Lever Arch folder worth of receipts. He stamped the first 1/3 of the folder then got pissed off and left the rest as he said it was taking too much time to photocopy and stamp. Anyway while I waited for the Examiner to come down, the vehicle Crimes Unit Van turned up but I did not think much of it. Then the Examiner and the Vehicle Crimes Unit Guy come over to speak to me. The examiner tells me that whenever he has a car with a Cosworth Engine in it. He involves the Crime Squad to ensure the engine is not stolen. I knew it wasn't as I had done my own research before I bought the engine but it makes you VERY nervous. The examiner wanted to see pictures of the new gearbox, diff, engine rebuild and so forth. He had contacted my friend Richard to ensure that the engine build was legit. I was surprised how much effort the VRO examiner looked into the authenticity of my application for a New registration plate. I got the new registration plate as you can see. I am really surprised how little information is shared between the left arm of the DVLA (SVA) and the right arm of the DVLA (VRO).
